A New Year, A New Look

You may have noticed something different about this latest issue of CONSULTANT FOR PEDIATRICIANS. We have redesigned the publication to improve your overall readership experience, so the information you have come to depend on will be even easier for you to access.

OUR MISSION REMAINS THE SAME

Although our look and content have evolved to keep pace with changes in the practice of pediatric medicine, our mission remains the same: to provide authoritative, timesaving clinical advice that you can put to use in your practice today. As one of the more than 62,000 pediatric practitioners who receive CONSULTANT FOR PEDIATRICIANS, you can expect:

Photoclinic: Patient photographs submitted by office-based clinicians and chosen for their teaching value.
What’s Your Diagnosis?®: Image-based self-quizzes designed to help you sharpen physical diagnosis skills.
Pediatrics Update: Brief summaries of diagnostic approaches, treatment guidelines, and new developments you’ll want to be aware of.
ID Alert and Case In Point: Real-life clinical cases that keep you up-to-date—and that offer a “take-home message” you can put to immediate use in your daily practice.
Dermclinic: Photographic self-quizzes aimed at honing your ability to recognize skin conditions.
Review articles: An examination of topics pretested among CONSULTANT FOR PEDIATRICIANS readers, invited from and developed by leading authorities, referenced, and peer-reviewed. Articles feature practical “how I do it” advice and are illustrated with carefully chosen tables and figures to clarify key teaching points quickly.

ON THE HORIZON

Looking ahead to the future, CONSULTANT FOR PEDIATRICIANS in 2013 will no longer be bound by the printed page. The new tablet edition is expected to launch sometime in 2013. In addition to all the features and articles that appear in the journal each month, the tablet edition will offer new interactive features, videos, and live links to exclusive online content. We will share more information with you in the coming months—stay tuned.
